The Sun Hydraulics CXKAXFV (CXKAXFV) is a high-performance check valve designed for hydraulic systems requiring reliable, one-way flow control. This model operates efficiently within Sun's T18A cavity but achieves optimal performance when used with the T18AU cavity, supporting a flow capacity of up to 240 gpm (900 L/min). The CXKAXFV is engineered to withstand pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) at both inlet and outlet ports, making it suitable for high-pressure applications. One of the standout features of this valve is its extremely low leakage rate, which does not exceed 1 drop per minute (0.07 cc/min), ensuring minimal fluid loss and enhanced system efficiency. The valve's construction includes EPDM seals specifically chosen for compatibility with phosphate ester fluids; however, these seals must not be exposed to petroleum-based fluids as they can cause damage. In terms of durability, the CXKAXFV incorporates Sun's floating style construction. This design minimizes the risk of internal parts binding which can occur due to variations in installation torque or cavity/cartridge machining discrepancies. Furthermore, the cartridge is corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for use in environments where corrosion could be a concern. The physical specifications include a hex size of 1 5/8 inches (41.3 mm) and an installation torque range between 350 – 375 lbf·ft (474 – 508 Nm). The valve itself weighs approximately 2.10 lbs (0.95 kg), facilitating ease of installation without compromising robustness. This model is well-suited for applications requiring precise fluid control with minimal leakage in corrosive or high-pressure environments.

Free-flow, nose-to-side check valves are on/off circuit components that allow free flow from the inlet (port 1) to the outlet (port 2) and block flow in the opposite direction.

• These valves will work in Sun's standard T-18A cavity at lower capacity. To realize the full stated capacity, the T-18AU cavity should be used.
• Cartridges configured with EPDM seals are for use in systems with phosphate ester fluids. Exposure to petroleum based fluids, greases and lubricants will damage the seals.
• Check valves offer extremely low leakage rates with a maximum leakage of less than 1 drop per minute (0,07 cc/min).
• Will accept 5000 psi (350 bar) at ports 1 and 2.
• Corrosion resistant cartridge valves are intended for use in corrosive environments and are identified by the model code suffix /AP or /LH (see CONFIGURATION section). For further details, please see the Materials of Construction page.
• Incorporates the Sun floating style construction to minimize the possibility of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations.
